Treatment

You will need to have a consultation with the nurse to come up with a treatment plan for your skin care needs. This will be done at the beginning of the first session.

Generally, you will need between 3 and 9 treatments of 30 minutes each, depending on the areas/issues being treated, in order to get the best results. You should book a 1 hour appointment for your first treatment to allow for consultation time.

Results are immediate, but maximum improvement is progressive and slow. After only 1 treatment, you will see results, but you will get better results with a treatment plan.

Does It Hurt?

Microdermabrasion can be mildly uncomfortable; it produces a gentle suction/vacuum sensation. Many people say that it feels like a cat licking you.

Contra-Indications

The procedure is non-invasive, with very minimal contra-indications It depends on how aggressive the treatment is on your specific area. For example, an aggressive treatment on a scar can cause peeling for a few days after the treatment. However, the first treatment will never be very aggressive, since we need to see how your skin responds.
