As we age, the cells in the top layer of the skin are not shed effectively, which leads to dull, thickened, and uneven skin. Light Acid Peels or Chemical Peels are exfolliants that work by gently "ungluing" the outer layer of dead skin cells. Removing these cells immediately improves the texture of the skin, leads to better skin hydration, and encouragers cell division at the basal layer, which allows healthier cells to come to the surface.
At Off The Hook Laser & Spa, we offer Glycolic Peels as well as AFA (Amino acid) Peels.
AFA peels (Amino acids Filgaggrin Antioxidants)
These Amino acids are based on the same Amino acids that occur naturally to help retain moisture in your skin.
They're antioxidants (to promote a more healthy appearance of the skin); they're exfoliants (to reduce fine lines and age spots); and they retain moisture in your skin (to reduce fine lines and wrinkles).
Good for people with uneven pigmentation, fine lines or sun-damaged skin.
Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a procedure for exfoliating the outer most layer of skin and ridding it of fine hair we tend to call peach fuzz. It's a quick service that's generally performed on the face. A trained technician uses a scalpel and a soft touch, scraping the surface of the skin using light feathery strokes.

Why get it? Dermaplaning not only gets rid of peach fuzz on the face, it also exfoliates removing dead skin cells on the outermost layer. Great for those who are too sensitive for peels, rosacea, or extremely sensitive skins.
